Karl & Jerry Lynam

Karl and Jerry Lynam are father and son, both proud Lilywhites from the townland of Hortland in the picturesque Donadea in North Kildare.

Jerry grew up on a farm, laboured on many local farms in his youth, and now farms part-time on the very land that he grew up on. He farms a mixture of drystock, notably beef, and sheep.

Their interest in the Galway breed came about having stumbled across them at the Tullamore Show in August 2019. A month later, they purchased their first 5 Galway hoggets and there has been no turning back since!

They are both passionate about Ireland, its unique culture, and ancient traditions so being involved in preserving and promoting Ireland’s only indigenous sheep breed seemed like a natural fit.
