Gerry is a full-time sheep farmer based in Ardrahan in South Galway.
Gerry farms in partnership with his son, John, and they keep a flock of 100 pedigree Galway ewes and followers as well as a commercial ewe flock.

Gerry is married to Christine and they have two children and one grandson. He became a member of the Galway Sheep Breeders Association in 1997 and has exhibited his stock at agricultural shows across the country as well as the annual show and sale in Athenry each year.
Gerry is passionate about helping new members to get started with Galway sheep and has provided stock to many new breeders as a foundation for their new pedigree Galway flocks over the years.
It is his ambition to have a flock of Galway sheep in every county in Ireland.
